04/28/2025	I would like to propose David Rigert as a candidate for the Parish Council at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minnesota. David has been a dedicated parishioner for over 20 years, following his return from military service overseas. For the past six years, he has served faithfully as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist and as a member of the Ministry of Hospitality. David has a deep love for supporting parish life, especially activities related to the liturgy. He has also served as a member of the Liturgy Advisory Council for 2 years, where he contributed valuable ideas for enhancing volunteer recruitment. I believe his long-standing commitment, leadership experience, and passion for service would make him a good addition to the Basilica of Saint Mary Parish Council. It would be an honor if you would consider this petition. God bless you!
04/01/2025	I am honored to express my interest in serving on the parish council at the Basilica of Saint Mary. With my career in human resources and a commitment to liturgical ministries, I bring both professional expertise and a deep devotion to my parish community. Throughout my career in human resources, I have developed leadership skills, cultivated a collaborative approach, and gained valuable experience in organizational development and problem-solving. These abilities equip me to contribute thoughtfully to the decisions and initiatives of the parish council, ensuring that our parish continues to grow in faith and fellowship. Outside of work, I serve as a Commissioner on the Three Rivers Park Board, am a father to 4, and remain active managing political campaigns. Since officially joining the Basilica of Saint Mary over a year ago, I have been privileged to actively participate in our liturgical ministries as an acolyte, dedicating my time and talents to enhancing our spiritual life. This involvement has deepened my understanding of the needs and aspirations of our parish family. Additionally, I devote my time to being a part of the grounds crew each week. My passion for service, combined with my professional and ministry experience, makes me uniquely positioned to contribute to the parish council's work. I am deeply committed to fostering a welcoming environment and supporting initiatives that nurture spiritual growth, unity, and outreach. I would be honored to bring my dedication and collaborative spirit to the parish council.
